This is an arrangement which would be suitable for the kitchen. It is made in a wooden salad bowl, with a plastic dish and floral foam for the mechanics. A hessian-covered base has been used. The flowers used are orange Roses, deep red standard Carnations, red Leucadendrons, red and yellow Tulips, Bupleurum griffithii, and green Chrysanthemums. Foliage used is Phormium tenax for the height, with Fatsia japonica variegata, Hedera colchica "Sulphur Heart", Fatshedera lizei, Bergenia "Overture", and Arum italicum marmoratum. I have also looped three groups of Xerophyllum tenax (Bear Grass) on the left hand side of the design. I have used three small red apples at the front of the design, fixed into position with wooden barbecue sticks. Some long cinnamon sticks have been grouped on the right hand side, and three bundles of short cinnamon sticks, tied with raffia, have been added at the front. To complete the design, I have added two wooden spatulas, and a few shallots at the base. |
