This design would make a good table centrepiece, and is made to be viewed all round. I have chosen a pink and white colour scheme, and have made it using a round bamboo tray, with a plastic saucer and floral foam for the mechanics. I have used three pink candles of varying heights in the centre, and these were placed first. I then placed foliage all round the edge of the design, bringing a few leaves across the centre to cover the foam. I then added the flowers, making sure that the different types were distributed evenly around the design to obtain visual balance. The flowers used were one stem of Lilium "Stargazer", two large light pink roses, three smaller dark pink roses, one stem of lime-green "Kermit" Chrysanthemums, three light pink Gerberas, and three stems of white Dendrobiums (Singapore orchids). Foliage used is Fatsia japonica variegata, Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart' (both used to pick up the colour of the lime-green Chrysanthemums), Hedera helix, xFatshedera variegata, and Pittosporum tenuifolium. Finally, I have used six small scented wicker balls to add interest and texture to the design. |
