This is a design which would be suitable as a wall hanging, a door hanging, a pew-end, or a chair-back for a dinner party etc. It is made on a commercially produced foam holder with a spring-clip, which can be adjusted for length or removed altogether. I have used Fatsia japonica variegata to form the rounded shape at the top of the design, then added two long Aspidistra elatior leaves hanging downwards. I have also incorporated a red tassle, which matches the colour scheme of the design. This has been pinned to the foam cage with wire pins, with the loops on the tassle forming part of the design. The flowers used are 12 red roses, 1 stem of purple Lissianthus (Eustoma), and 1 stem of lime-green "Kermit" Chrysanthemums. I have also added a lime-green paper ribbon bow, to help to hide the floral foam, and give added interest to the design. |
