This is a traditional asymmetrical triangle arrangement. This means that it is longer on one side than the other. As a rule of thumb, the shorter side of the arrangement is about half the height, and the longer side is about or almost the same as the height. I have used a green plastic container, with floral foam for the mechanics. I began by establishing the height with two Cordyline leaves, and then established the width with other foliage. The foliage used is a mixture of shapes and textures - Cordyline australis, Eucalyptus (juvenile form), Lonicera pileata, Viburnum davidii, and grey Lavandula dentata. Flowers used are 5 orange Gerbera for the focal flowers, with 5 pale orange roses to strengthen the focal area. For recession I have used 2 stems of bronze Chrysanthemums, and for transition, 8 stems of magenta spray Carnations, with 1 stem of lavender Limonium 'Filigree' for a filler flower. |
