This is an unusual design, which incorporates the use of clear glass vials or test tubes. I have used a green metal bucket which has a covering of brown vines, and a plastic container with floral foam just sits neatly in the top of the bucket for the mechanics. In the centre of the design, I have used a bundle of dried green-dyed ting-ting, which has a touch of gold sprayed on to it. At the base of the design, I have used dark red Chrysanthemums, which have been closely bonded to give a block of colour. A few have been arranged a little higher to bring the colour upwards. Finally, I have attached several test tubes to the ting-ting, using gold bullion wire (see close-up detail picture, below), and a single Chrysanthemum has been placed into each one. |
This picture shows a close-up view of the one of the glass test tubes, showing how the bullion wire has been wound round it to secure it and add a touch of decoration. A single Chrysanthemum has been placed in it. |
