This evergreen hardy shrub or small tree can grow up to 3 metres in height, but can easily be kept shorter by pruning. Plants are either male or female, and female plants produce green berries which ripen to bright red in winter and early spring. 'Crotonifolia' is a female plant with bright yellow splashed leathery leaves, which are very long lasting in arrangements.
