ARUM ITALICUM SPECIES
Common Name: Lords and Ladies, Cuckoo Pint
Family: Araceae
| ARUM ITALICUM 'MARMORATUM' | ARUM ITALICUM 'CHAMELEON' |
Arum italicum is a tuberous perennial, which flowers in the spring with typical aroid flowers. These are followed by spikes of bright red/orange berries which form in autumn, and persist throughout the winter, after the foliage has died away. 'Marmoratum' and 'Chameleon' are two of my favourite varieties. They are quite long lasting in arrangements, but only mature leaves should be used, as new growth is difficult to condition and wilts very quickly in floral foam. | |
